My daily driver is a '95 Honda Civic EX coup. Everything is stock except for a couple of interior things. The center console and armrest are JDM. The head unit and speakers are aftermarket and I mounted an iPod dock on the dashboard. The car is a lot of fun and I try to keep it clean and take care of it even though it is showing its age in a few places.
The iPod mount is a regular iPod dock with epoxy glue, a small metal bracket from a hardware store, and two rivets holding the bracket to the dashboard. I used some hot glue on the bracket against the dash board so that it would not wiggle at all. It was not the most beautiful installation, but it worked well. It was sturdy too. Someone bumped it really hard when they were getting in the car, and it snapped the dock off of the bracket, but I glued it again and it was fine. Now I have an iPhone 3G, and I still drive my '95 Civic. I decided to try something a little different, and bought a Kensington LiquidAux unit. It's not nearly as good as my plain old dock was. The LiquidAux frequently makes the iPhone have an error about an incompatibility with airplane mode, and the remote doesn't work reliably. In addition, the mount is flimsy and swivels around very easily, and it is not as easy to set the iPhone in compared to the regular dock. Eventually, I'll probably get an iPhone dock and reinstall the iPod mount in my car.
