After listening to a friend's high-end speakers driven by a tube amplifier, I knew that I needed to upgrade my stereo. The music was crystal clear, the bass was strong and perfectly balanced. The voices appeared to flow from nowhere and the speakers felt as if they disappeared. Now I have a decent amplifier and set of speakers of my own, and it didn't cost a fortune.
